Restorative Yoga Gong Bath and Yoga Nidra
Sunday 25th September 10.00 | 3 hours | £40
Join Emma and Adele for an Autumn Equinox celebration with this calming and restful 3 hour workshop. Combining the powerful practices of Restorative Yoga, Gong Bath and Yoga Nidra this is your chance to find balance and maybe set intentions for the rest of the year leading up to the Winter Solstice.
In Restorative Yoga the postures are done entirely on the floor. Using props to support, this restful practice encourages the body to release tension and the mind to slow down. Then the Gong Bath will help you reach an even deeper level of relaxation as the frequency of the vibrations created by the expert playing of the gongs can calm the mind whilst the body absorbs the vibrations. Finally we’ll end with Yoga Nidra. If you have not practiced yoga nidra before, this ancient practice is best described in the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, verse 50, Translated by Paul Reps and Lakshman Joo reads ‘At the point of sleep when the sleep has not yet come and external wakefulness vanishes, at this point ‘being’ is revealed. We will also be taking a pause for tea during the workshop.
By both resting the body and calming the mind, it is possible to regulate our nervous system which may help you feel more balanced and calm.
